About Us

Hollywood Quick Stop is a blog about......well....movies and hollywood! I've realized over the years my knowledge of the film industry has grown quite a bit. It is my goal in life to be a published screenwriter and I devote almost all of my time to developing that craft.

I'm not here to give you news exactly, but to give you my opinion of the news and current movies coming out of Hollywood.

I currently live in Amarillo, Texas but I hope to get in to UT in Austin, Texas and earn a graduates degree in English. From there with my knowledge of writing and movies, I hope to get into UT's screenwriting program where I can get my Master's degree.

I currently have no job that even somewhat relates to this field of work. I work in the math lab at Amarillo College but hope to possibly get an internship for the local newspaper.

One thing I would really like to do in life is become a script reader. I would love to read screenplays all day and critique them. How to get started with this I do not know.

I hope you enjoy my insight on movies and Hollywood.

Thanks for checking out the blog!

Gotta love my clap board and super 8 camera!

Hey there folks.  Mac here. I'm very grateful to have been a recent addition to the Hollywood Quick Stop. I'm looking forward to giving you guys my opinions on the industry and what not. Here's a little bit about me to get you started.

Currently I am going to Amarillo Community college for Film, and psychology. My dad was in the Marine Corps for the past 20 years, so after a much rewarded retirement, we decided to come back to Amarillo for good. I've been all over the east coast line.

Film making has been a dream of mine ever since I was little. When it came to picking up my mom's camera and filming whatever it may be, to making little stop-motion lego movies. I was born a film maker. As of recently, I've dipped my feet into serious screenwriting. Though I've written screenplays in the past, i've never taken it too seriously. All that changed up till now. I love everything about the industry, and hope some day to get paid for what I love doing.

Looking forward to posting for you guys!

Mac
